Hello, I'm Nicki Fishlock, founder of Time to Talk Counselling & Psychotherapy.
I understand that beginning counselling can feel daunting. Reaching out for support takes courage, and I aim to make the process as welcoming, comfortable and supportive as possible from the very first conversation.
I am an Integrative Counsellor and registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (MBACP). I have worked in mental health and wellbeing for over 20 years across a wide variety of professional settings, including the NHS, education, justice services, charities and community organisations.
These experiences have allowed me to work alongside people facing many different life challenges, helping them navigate difficult emotions, recover from trauma, build resilience and move towards a more fulfilling future.
My approach is integrative, meaning I draw upon different therapeutic approaches depending on your individual needs. Rather than believing there is one method that suits everyone, I work collaboratively with you to develop an approach that feels right for your unique circumstances.
My work is trauma-informed, person-centred and grounded in empathy, respect and compassion. I believe that every person deserves to be listened to without judgement and supported in a way that honours their experiences.
I offer face-to-face counselling, alongside secure online sessions available throughout the UK.
Whether you're facing a specific difficulty or simply feel that something isn't quite right, therapy can provide the time and space to better understand yourself and create meaningful change.
